29It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the (A)two tablets of the testimony were in Moses' hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that (B)the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.30So when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and (C)they were afraid to come near him. 31Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers in the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them. 32Afterward all the sons of Israel came near, and he commanded them to do everything that the LORD had spoken to him on Mount Sinai. 33When Moses had finished speaking with them, (D)he put a veil over his face. 34But whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, (E)he would take off the veil until he came out; and whenever he came out and spoke to the sons of Israel what he had been commanded, 35(F)the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone. So Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with Him. 10I will (A)rejoice greatly in the LORD,
My soul will exult in (B)my God;
For He has (C)clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
And (D)as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11For as the (E)earth brings forth its sprouts,
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord GOD will (F)cause (G)righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
16For we did not follow cleverly devised (A)tales when we made known to you the (B)power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were (C)eyewitnesses of His majesty.17For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an (D)utterance as this was made to Him by the (E)Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased"-- 18and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the (F)holy mountain. 19So we have (G)the prophetic word made more (H)sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to (I)a lamp shining in a dark place, until the (J)day dawns and the (K)morning star arises (L)in your hearts. 20But (M)know this first of all, that (N)no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21for (O)no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men (P)moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 1(A)Six days later Jesus took with Him (B)Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.2And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. 3And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, (C)I will make three tabernacles here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." 5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, (D)a voice out of the cloud said, "(E)This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!" 6When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified. 7And Jesus came to them and touched them and said, "Get up, and (F)do not be afraid." 8And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone. 9(G)As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "(H)Tell the vision to no one until (I)the Son of Man has (J)risen from the dead." More than all the other dwelling places of Jacob.

Behold, Philistia and (F)Tyre with (G)Ethiopia:

"This one was born there." Selah.

"All my (L)springs of joy are in you."

1O LORD, our Lord,

You have (M)put all things under his feet,

And also the beasts of the field,

Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9(N)O LORD, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth!
22After these things Jesus and His (A)disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and (B)baptizing.23John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there; and people were coming and were being baptized-- 24for (C)John had not yet been thrown into prison. 25Therefore there arose a discussion on the part of John's disciples with a Jew about (D)purification. 26And they came to John and said to him, "(E)Rabbi, He who was with you (F)beyond the Jordan, to whom you (G)have testified, behold, He is baptizing and all are coming to Him." 27John answered and said, "(H)A man can receive nothing unless it (I)has been given him from heaven. 28"You yourselves are my witnesses that I said, '(J)I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent ahead of Him.' 29"He who has the bride is (K)the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice So this (L)joy of mine has been made full. 30"He must increase, but I must decrease. 31"(M)He who comes from above is above all, (N)he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth (O)He who comes from heaven is above all. 32"What He has seen and heard, of that He (P)testifies; and (Q)no one receives His testimony. 33"He who has received His testimony (R)has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34"For He whom God has (S)sent speaks the words of God; (T)for He gives the Spirit without measure. 35"(U)The Father loves the Son and (V)has given all things into His hand. 36"He who (W)believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who (X)does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
1Therefore when (Y)the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and (Z)baptizing more disciples than John2(although (AA)Jesus Himself was not baptizing, but His (AB)disciples were), 3He left (AC)Judea and went away (AD)again into Galilee. 4And He had to pass through (AE)Samaria. 5So He came to a city of (AF)Samaria called Sychar, near (AG)the parcel of ground that (AH)Jacob gave to his son Joseph; 6and Jacob's well was there. So Jesus, being wearied from His journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about [a]the sixth hour. Footnotes:John 4:6 Perhaps 6 p.m. Roman time or noon Jewish time
